Critical: This Will Template Must Be Reviewed by a Solicitor

A will is one of the most important legal documents you will ever create. This template is provided as a starting point only and must be reviewed by a qualified solicitor before being signed and witnessed. Errors in a will can lead to your wishes not being carried out, disputes among family members, and significant financial consequences.

Under English law, for a will to be valid it must be: (1) in writing, (2) signed by the testator in the presence of two witnesses, and (3) signed by both witnesses in the presence of the testator. The witnesses must not be beneficiaries under the will.

If you have complex assets, a blended family, business interests, or assets held abroad, professional legal advice is essential. LegalDocs UK accepts no liability for any loss arising from use of this template.
